East Village Vibes

The heat wave in New York hit two days before it turned September. Thankfully the rain and thunderstorms decided to come by and take away some of the heat, but it's still pretty humid and an otherwise unusual weather for Labor Day weekend. The hubs and I spent a day back home at my parents, swung by the Design Within Reach Outlet for their Labor Day sale, and took a walk around the East Village, picking up some softserve at Momofuku Milk Bar. Christina Tosi has remixed her amazing pie flavors into ice creams this season, and the Crack Pie soft-serve was the Village's featured flavor (other flavors and locations are: Compost Cookie soft-serve in Williamsburg, Blueberry & Cream Cookie soft-serve in midtown, Candy Bar Pie soft-serve on the Upper West Side, and Birthday Cake soft-serve in Carroll Gardens). Hopefully I can try all 5 flavors before season's end!
