The hubby and I spent a special night in the West Village this past weekend. On September 24th to the 27th, Scandic Hotels, Scandinavia's largest hotel chain, brought over a container to the west village that was modeled after their soon-to-open hotel Scandic Haymarket in Central Stockholm. The container was a fully running hotel room, complete with a patio, double bed TV and breakfast service in the morning - basically all the things you could expect from a night at a Scandic Hotel in Scandinavia. We thought it was a really interesting concept and we couldn't pass up this unique opportunity to test out this portable hotel room! The NORTH Nordic Food Festival was going on in the area at the same time so it was fun to experience that as well. Hope to visit Stockholm sometime soon so we can check out the actual Haymarket hotel when it's finished in the spring of 2016!
