A Day In Athens

Landed in Athens and kicked off the first day of our Grecian trip right in the capital. Due to the strikes occurring that weekend, all modes of transportation were put on pause except taxis. We dropped off our things at our hotel A For Athens before heading out to get a bite to eat and explore the historical ancient remains. The views from our room as well as the roof(bar) were really amazing – it allowed us to get a complete view of the city center and the Acropolis, and it was really interesting to see Monastiraki Square changing throughout the day.

It was a short, but sweet day exploring Athens. It wasn't the most romantic of cities, but it was really great getting a chance to explore it for the first time. The Acropolis was grand, the food was delicious, the cats were charming, and the streets had their quirks. Stay tuned for my Mykonos travel diary next week!
