We arrived in Tokyo from a relaxing trip in Kyoto on the Shinkansen, and 4 days went by like a whirlwind. As much as we tried to cram as much as possible in each and every day (while enjoying it fully of course!), I felt like it was just not enough time! There is so much to see, so much to shop, and so much to eat in Tokyo. I want to send a special thanks to The Peninsula Tokyo and The Ritz Carlton, Tokyo for being amazing hosts. They were different experiences, but so special in their own ways. The locations of these properties were wonderful as they were both in extremely convenient and central neighborhoods, but a bit apart from one another so we had a chance to explore two sides of town. The amazing shopping culture was to be expected, however I was still shocked at the never-ending number of well-curated stores, ranging from fashion to home goods to confections. There was an injection of lifestyle, curiosity, and sensitivity to everything everywhere. Ahhh! I honestly cannot wait until my next trip.

Below is an overview of places I’ve covered in this post, as well as additional selections of recommendations from friends and acquaintances.
