NARS and Erdem are both brands that have the ability to transport you to another world. I attended my first London Fashion Week in February for the unveil of the NARS x Erdem Strange Flowers Collection, and it was an exquisite experience. I lust over all the Erdem pieces that Barneys carries and the collaboration with H&M last fall was one of the most beautiful I've seen. When I learned of this exclusive collaboration with NARS, I was overjoyed to be a part of the global launch event! The trip felt like a dream, with each detail very well considered. Our stay at the elegant Rosewood London paralleled the story of romance, the runway show and dinner at the National Portrait Gallery felt like we were part of a secret society, and the fitting at the Erdem Store the next morning in Mayfair all followed a lovely narrative that told a cohesive story of culture, fashion, and art.
The name of the collection 'Strange Flowers' speaks to the designer's signature nostalgia and bold femininity, which is also both ethereal and slightly surreal. Each of the products is encased in one of three original floral prints specially created by the designer, and from the specifically chosen Pantone color (the pale blue matches the blue in his stores!) to the velvety soft-touch texture of the packaging, it feels extremely special. The shades are also very flattering and translates into a type of "Erdem romantic look." The new formulations are really unique as well, especially the Lip Powders. The blush in "Loves Me Not," lipstick in "Bloodflower" and highlighter stick in "White Phlox" are my favorites from the collection. I can't wait for you to try!
Thank you again to NARS and Erdem for having me.
