It’s Still Summer in Mallorca
While staying at La Residencia on our wedding anniversary trip in late September, we visited some of my favorite beaches and villages I adored the last time I was here with friends. As taxis can get expensive and the bus gets very crowded, I recommend renting a car to really explore and enjoy the island.
Cala s'Almunia
I visited Caló del Moro on my last trip, so we opted for Cala s'Almunia this time! They are both rocky beaches that require some walking time to get there (both on the same initial path), but they’re incredibly stunning and worth the trek.
Palma
Palma is the capital of Mallorca and feels like downtown with the most concentrated number of stores and restaurants on the island. We walked around the city before grabbing ramen and gyoza for dinner at Izakayita (the sister restaurant of Izakaya Mallorca, which I recommend to rsvp in advance!).
Valldemossa
Valldemossa was only a 15-minute drive from our hotel, La Residencia. It is one of the quaintest and most picturesque villages I have ever visited. I was here three years ago, but coming back with Hoon was a memorable experience. We spent hours roaming the streets, stopping for a tapas and vino break at a cute local spot, QuitaPenas Valldemossa. They also have a wonderful backyard area, which we thoroughly enjoyed, especially with the beautiful weather.
